A Table’s Journey and Final Reflection

From Rough Cut Jatoba Cherry Wood to a Bluff Above the River is a Long Journey

Jatoba Cherry is an extremely dense wood which makes it very hard and heavy. The table began as 2 inch thick boards. One square foot of Jatoba 2 inches thick weighs approximately 12 lbs. The idea of the table began with the purchasing of a house that over looks the confluence of the Yellowstone and Stillwater Rivers and the owner meeting Dan. The outcome was the designing of a 4 foot round bistro table and a river map which showcased the customers view from their house. Once the design was approved, then the building began.
